I Give Up

I just couldn't handle it anymore - so I finally gave up trying to read Surrender Bay.  I was in the middle of the book and the heroine still hadn't grown up and the hero still didn't have a spine.

Now, I've moved on to Seaside Letters.  Except for the blurb made the book out to be something else - or I believed it would be something else.  Oh well - I'm still reading it.  So far, so good.  Except the conflict that was promised in the blurb was over within the first few pages.  I'm still holding a bit of a grudge about that.

The blurb for Seaside letters sounds really good. I'll be looking forward to reading what you think about it.

How is it different from what you're reading though?

So far Seaside Letters is much better! So far, the hero has a backbone and the heroine isn't an adolescent victim in a 30-something old body.

I like the cover of Seaside Letters!! Very cute :D What genre is it, Dev? :P

Nath ~ I would say contemporary romance - the author is a Christan writer, but that doesn't seem to be the focus of the book. I'm close to half-way done now and am really enjoying it.

I hate it when I have to give up on books.
